A line and its intercept | |
Two points can be connected to make a straight line. The "intercept" of that line is its Y-value where X= 0.0. For the line on this diagram, the intercept value is 5.0. Change the intercept by clicking on the "up" or "down" arrows.. Notice that as the line moves the coordinates of the points on it must change so that the points stay on the line. (You can also change the intercept by typing a value into the text box and pressing your return key.) Change the intercept so that the line goes through the point you plotted before (5.0, 5.0). |
