The hydrograph on the right is based on the data
you plotted up on the previous page. Click the "Display Rainfall
Amounts" button. Much of the precipitation falling on the
water shed eventually finds its way into the streams. The time
interval between the peak in the rainfall distrubution and the
stream's discharge peak, is a lag time.
